Fake news has been real since we’ve had the capability to communicate language and tell stories. " Marsha Blackburn, an American congresswoman, has gone so far as to imply that internet service providers should be held responsible for taking down fake news, saying: “If anyone is putting fake news out there, the ISPs have the obligation to in some way get that off the web.”
Another individual Laura Tucker interviewed was Jeffry, he claims “One person can manufacture the fake news, and another will gladly hit the forward button without bothering to check its validity.” Jeffry believes fake news will continue to prosper and it will not stop anytime soon.
There are incentives to put an end to fake news but it will take time and effort to stop it. It is up to the people to decide the legitimacy of the information in front of them.
I agree with you I think fake news won't go away. I like your post and I think its interesting that the ISP's have an obligation to get rid of some fake news on the web
ReplyDeleteIt's crazy the amount of people that don't even bother reading the article, it's more like they just read headlines without actually paying attention to what they're reading. I agree with you it's going to take some time to stop fake news but since anyone can produce it it'll be a tough task.
